Background

Matt has worked across hospital and private practice settings in the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia, with much of his hospital experience alongside orthopaedic and medical teams.

He managed secondary care referrals from orthopaedics, pain clinics and rheumatology at Ipswich Hospital and Imperial College Healthcare Trust, and worked within orthopaedic fracture clinics alongside consultants at Ipswich and Lewisham. As a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist with University Hospitals Sussex he oversaw the daily running of an outpatient service and managed a complex caseload, and at Imperial College Healthcare Trust he was one of four team leads across two sites.

In private practice he has worked with post-operative, occupational health, insurance and persistent pain patients, including athletes and gym-based populations in New Zealand. More recently in Australia he has managed mixed NDIS, private and WorkCover caseloads, carried out functional capacity evaluations, and delivered hydrotherapy and community physiotherapy.

His clinical interests include lumbar and pelvic conditions and foot and ankle problems. Current professional development covers vestibular rehabilitation, dry needling and men's health. He is experienced with force plate testing, shockwave, laser and TECAR therapy, and handheld dynamometry.
