Before you book
Know what will be needed.
Specialist referrals
A current referral is generally required for orthopaedic, pain, rehabilitation or geriatric specialist appointments. Referral details affect Medicare eligibility and appointment processing.
Allied health referrals
A referral is generally not required for a private allied health appointment. Medicare, DVA, WorkCover and some funded programs may have separate requirements.
Fees and appointment changes
For current fees or rebate information, contact the patient services team. If you need to change your appointment, please contact us.
Urgent and emergency care
Joint Vision is not an emergency department. Severe injury, serious illness or symptoms requiring urgent emergency care should be directed to the appropriate emergency service.
The patient services team
A clear next step, even when the answer is not obvious.
Call during opening hours for help choosing between a specialist, allied health, injury care or another pathway.
