Background

Dr Sheila Rahman provides specialist physician and geriatric care for older adults, with a particular interest in medical optimisation around surgery. She works collaboratively with surgeons, general practitioners, hospital teams, patients and families to support safe, coordinated care.

Her practice includes comprehensive geriatric assessment, frailty, cognition, medication review, falls and bone health, rehabilitation and discharge planning. She is also engaged in clinical leadership, research and quality improvement, including work with the ANZ Hip Fracture Registry.
