We believe that both public and private systems in Australia are complementary and both have the capacity to offer an excellent standard of care. Our surgeons operate privately and publicly and are happy to discuss the advantages of surgical care in either setting.

Billing

Both initial and follow up consultations are associated with a fee. Follow-up consultations, being shorter in duration, are less in cost.

Consultation Fees

Our fees are in line with the Australian Medial Association guidelines and industry standards. We offer discounts for pensioners and health care card holders. For payments we accept:

  • EFTPOS

  • Credit card (Visa or Mastercard)

  • Cash

Surgical Fees

For our surgeries we provide known gap quotations. This means that the majority of the surgeon’s fees will be paid directly by Medicare and your private health fund.

The surgical gap amount is based on your private health fund with the maximum out of pocket fee being $500. This fee includes two postoperative visits with the surgeon. You should also receive a quote from the anaesthetist that should be equal or less than the surgeon’s fee. If there is a surgical assistant gap fee, you will be advised during your consultation.

We believe in fair, transparent fee structures. If surgery is the best option for you then a quote of your estimated fee will be provided on the day by our administration staff.

Other costs that may occur in addition to your fund rebate include (but are not limited to):

  • Hospital admission fees

  • Radiology fees

  • Pharmacy fees
